"Beautiful cultural experience. Having your own onsen and choice of the public onsen was very nice. We did not think the seiki breakfasts and dinner were worth the astoundingly expensive price. I would next time not book the meals, exorbitant cost at nearly $300 each time"

"Staying here was one of the highlights of our entire trip. The view from our bedroom was absolutely stunning - I miss it already. The giant windows made for such a special place experience. If you can afford the river facing rooms, it is an absolute must. The view of the stars at night, especially through the provided binoculars, was breathtaking. "The onsen facilities were quite impressive with many pools including outdoor mixed gender ones (until 9 or 10pm), where you put on their provided clothing. Outdoor onsen in cold dark night creates a beautiful atmosphere. The dinner and then breakfast were excellent and unforgettable. We had our private dining room and there were lots of elaborate dishes. The wait staff were the epitome of Japanese gentleness. "
