"Be ready for a time share pitch. While the ocean view is beautiful the property has very few full ocean views, which IMO is 180 degrees, their full ocean view is between 90 and 120 degrees. Staff is all very friendly."

"The location was why I chose this spot, and I wasn't disappointed. It was a block from the beach and a block from the gay nightlife area. Very convenient. It's not well situated if you are trying to get a lot of sleep, though, as the noise from the park across the street is loud and nonstop from 8am until after midnight. Hotel staff spoke English reasonably well."

"Suite was great, pool was small but serene. Location was nice. I would critique their breakfast. The food was inedible (think crusty refried beans, hot dogs for breakfast). They ran out of coffee two mornings and bread another morning. I would not pay for the breakfast again. "

"Room and bed were comfortable. Surprisingly quiet for the city, we were expecting much more noise. Breakfast was simple yogurt granola fruit and toast. We thought we would, but never used the pool because it was shady and cold. But very close to the beach and restaurants, even tried the restaurant, Kitty Cat, which I highly recommend! Roof top was enjoyable with a little view of the ocean. Place is a little dated but we assumed this. Was perfectly comfortable and affordable for our needs. "

"We absolutely loved staying at this amazing property. Everyone was helpful and went out of their way to make us feel at home. The maintenance guy was amazing, so sorry I didn't get his name. We had a hot water issue and he resolved it quickly and checked in with us. Getting chairs and an umbrella at the beach wasn't always accessible. My suggestion would be to set up three areas every morning knowing your guests will use them without having to request that service. "

"Great option to stay in a centrally located area. Room was great with an efficiency kitchen, private balcony and pool area was beautiful with wonderful sea views and an infinity pool in a private non crowded setting. Super LGBTQ+ friendly and nice staff who were very attention give to guests. "

"I enjoyed my stay here. It’s a quirky slightly rundown place that has perhaps seen better days. But it has character. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The views are amazing. It’s a bit noisy, so keep that in mind. The penthouse restaurant was very enjoyable. The pool is small and cold, but you can still do laps. great deal for the money. I would stay again "

"Our group of 4 people had an excellent time at Melia Puerto Vallarta during our 5-day stay. The property and rooms were clean, the landscaping was beautifully done with lots of lush greenery, and the dining at the buffet and both the specialty restaurants was amazing. There was also a vast array of fun activities every day that kept us comfortably busy but still with enough time to relax by their large pool. Beach access was easy and I also specifically appreciated that there were showers to wash sand off between the beach and the rest of the property. The shows were also very entertaining, especially their “Atlantida” show which was thrilling to watch the performers in the air. The property is also very conveniently located being only a few minute walk from great shopping at the marina, and less than 10 minute drive from the airport. Our group would also like to specifically mention Leo Leon, Anna, and Alexandra with activities, our dance instructor Betty, and Angel with luggage service. They were all very kind, professional, exceptionally helpful, and it is clear that they play a major role in keeping the resort running well for guests. We certainly recommend that they receive raises for their outstanding service as they made our experience at Melia truly memorable."
