"Used this home as a base for a weekend in the Peak District, with 5 other couples. The building is stunning, kitchen is well stocked with appliances and other items. 2 fridge/freezers which were handy. Lots of spaces to relax and the hot tub was fantastic. WiFi is poor in wider areas of the house but excellent within the room of the house the modem is in. However, this is expected in a building of this size and didn’t ruin the weekend at all. "We travelled from Canada, three sisters and two of our daughters, and wanted to enjoy an authentic English accommodation. We found everything we needed with the unique and luxurious Douglas Cottage. Plenty of space for all five of us, with 3 bedrooms (a total of 4 beds that you melted into, my daughter and I shared the queen bed in the master bedroom ) and 3 bathrooms, it was the perfect fit for us and turned out to be less expensive than 3 hotel rooms. "Property is ideal for a couple, short or longer stay. Very clean and comfortable. Location is excellent within a quiet area very close to City Centre. Great shops - highly recommended Butcher - and three great Pubs with nearest next door but one and furthest about a minute away. Parking on road is limited to 30 minutes between 0800 and 1800, but parking available close by, and was ok. Would recommend this property."

The booking was easy but the owner of this cottage was excellent in communication and instructions ( Gaynor ) there isn’t enough I could say and we had the privilege of meeting her when she did midweek check on jacuzzi.
