It actually smelled decent / Good when the Helpful and friendly Cuban Desk attendant educated me on the property, showed me a room and even shared his story along the walk!! "The hotel was clean, restaurant was excellent and busy with locals, welcoming to have guests sitting in the lobby and porch, and pool area was great (lots of lounges, tables and couches). There was a little musty smell because of the age of the hotel. Price was very reasonable, FREE parking ( savings of $35-$48 per night) and friendly staff. Hotel had a busy vibe downstairs vs. a funeral parlor type atmosphere at other hotels that I have stayed at in St Pete."
