"Great Staff. Nice Rooms"

"Easy checking in but only from 2pm to 6pm. Very comfy bed, warm room, tea and coffee facilities. Powerful shower. Handy location very close to train station. Pay and display car park behind pub however can only park from 2pm to 5am and then need to leave for an hr before return. Unfortunately room smelled of cigarette smoke. "Room was excellent. En-suite was fantastic. Very clean and good stay. It is a public house and music finishing at midnight all good for us on first night but music being slightly turned down and finishing between 3 and 4am not so considerate for guests."

"Very friendly place, very busy in bar area but accommodation separate (& quiet 😊👍)… enjoyed looking round the bar area after breakfast next day, lots of interesting items/photos etc and nice to be away from the ‘corporate’ feel that most hotels seem to have these days. I’m sure we’ll be back."
