"Easy checking in but only from 2pm to 6pm. Very comfy bed, warm room, tea and coffee facilities. Powerful shower. Handy location very close to train station. Pay and display car park behind pub however can only park from 2pm to 5am and then need to leave for an hr before return. Unfortunately room smelled of cigarette smoke. "A loverly village inn with great food and real ales. Very comfortable bed and room very clean. Shower was clean and they water hot. In all a very comfortable stay. We were, attending a wedding at Leez Priory which as 5 mins away. Local Chelmsford cabs serve the Leez so transport back was very easy. "

"It was a lovely gated community , safe and serene surrounded by nature . A bit far from train station though if you don’t have a car . Harold wood station is 9 minutes drive where you can catch the Elizabeth Line . The only concern was that a fob should be given to long term guests to get in and out of the main gate , that was a hassle . Otherwise I would highly recommend this stay ."
