"The Malt House is situated close to the river with a great outdoor seating area to enjoy a drink and a meal. The food both breakfast and dinner is excellent and the beers in the Malt House and sister pub the Swan inn are also excellent.The staff are helpful and friendly , the rooms are comfortable with good en suite showers . The rate to stay is also good. I would definitely stay again . "

"The room was clean and tidy & had everything we needed. It would have been helpful we’d been advised that there was an engagement party & live band playing that night as we were staying as we were running the Delamere Forest Marathon the next morning and hoping for an early night as we had an early start. As the rooms were directly above the music there was no chance of this! The music did stop just after 11pm so not too bad! "

"Brilliant hotel, always try to stay here if in Chester. Car park for about 20 cars, but Watergate St is a 3 min walk and about £12 for 24 hours. Stayed in the Ascot suite, great size, spotless, all the facilities in good working order. Free WiFi. Lots of space, ealk in shower (very powerful).
