"For the price this place is basic. You are paying 5 star prices and getting 3 star standard. Basic. Lamps in bedroom didn’t work. It was just cheap, cold no view not comfortable in the apartment. I stay all over nz for work and I have never paid over $330 for a night in such a basic hotel. I’ll never stay here again "

"Great place to stay. Room was very spacious (esp. after dogbox in Auckland) clean and tidy. OK, it is not new, but everything was in working order and full stove, fridge and microwave, plus plenty of utensils, made cooking easy. They also have a small, but adequate, gym on site. We had to hole up here during Cyclone Gabrielle and it was fine for the three nights we stayed. Staff and owners were very helpful and chatty. Bonus was being able to watch T20 Womens World Cup on TV!"
