"Very happy with our choice to stay at The Distinction. An older property but the benefit of that is spacious rooms. A bonus was a spa bath and separate shower in a large bathroom. Great to have the balcony overlooking the Marina. Friendly staff. Free parking. Very happy"

"Staff member was brilliant, we were in whangarei for a funeral and needed to get changed the man on the desk was so helpful and allowed us to get the room earlier than the 2pm check in, this was much appreciated. Would recommend without hesitation. "

"Immediately beside the Duke of Marlborough is their Waterfront Apartment called 'The Bungalow'. Nice to be at ground level with our own little courtyard. Fabulous Apartment furnished beautifully and Art depicting the location on the walls. Well supplied kitchenette. Excellent dinner and breakfast on the deck of 'Duke'. We blessed the peacefulness of the area in the shoulder season. "

"Great for a night away. We have stayed in a couple of hotels in Paihia, but always come back to the Kingsgate Hotel. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. We stayed in a king bed room which has a small seating area with a table and a couch. Bathroom was clean and tidy. Would recommend to couples or family’s. "
