"1st off, we LOVE downtown Memphis. We've got married in Memphis in 2013 and have stayed at almost all the hotels in downtown Memphis over the years with the exception of the Peabody. We decided to splurge and book a night there, only to find we could've gotten a much cheaper rate through the hotel itself rather than through Expedia. That was on me. "The room was overall nice. It either appeared that the room hadn’t been stayed in for awhile because of the dust that was on the lamps or either dusting isn’t part of the day to day room cleaning. While breakfast was supposed to have been included, it wasn’t because the staff informed us that the cook had called in and there was noone at the moment to prepare food. It would have been nice to have an alternative option and to not hear the staff talk about the staff and management issues."

Close to perfect

"I stay here regularly when I travel to see my family. It is very clean and well kept and the service is great. I also really like the location which is close to the freeway, but provide the sense of separation from high traffic areas. During my most recent trip, I had two problems with items in the room. The first time the coffee maker did not work and the second time the bathroom sink drain cover would not lift up. I’m sure the hotel would have sent someone up to fix it immediately, but I arrived very late and didn’t want to have somebody up in my room at that time of night. Otherwise, my day was great as usual.."
