"Booked a standard room with air con via Hotels.com, but upon arrival, we were given a room without AC & were forced to pay $20 for something we had already paid for. The owner refused to correct the issue &was extremely rude. Despite clear advertising, the issue was not resolved. "Really great place. It's just opened so everything is new and the environment cosy. Location is good and the promotional price I paid was excellent value with included breakfast and a nice 5-bed shared room with a decent bathroom. The WiFi was good and a coffee was a reasonable 35 as were beers at 50. Breakfast was included too and was decent also. "The receptionists are awesome Louis and Mellisa. They are extremely helpful to each and every customer. It’s an exceptional service I have seen in Nicaragua. "I had the misfortune to arrive by bus from Managua on a rainy day. I thus had difficulty in finding the Hostal. When I did, at aout 7 pm, the person at the reception did not even ask to identify me, and I was led to a room with a window giving on the corridor, a small old sink giving only a tiny fillet or water, etc. Only cold water, but that seems to be general in San Juan. I eventually got used to all these "perks"..."
