"The only problem I see to this hotel is the lack of its own car park,you need to use a public one. Every thing else wonderful......the people the food the communications. The National Express Coach if, like me you needed transport picks you up in the main street 5 mins from Allerdale. At the same stop are regular buses to Keswick and Penrith. I had a great time."

"The hotel is in a quiet rural area out of town. It would be beneficial if you have a car, but there is a good bus service and the bus stop is across the road from the hotel. When we were there the hotel was being renovated but we never found this a problem and everyone was very helpful, lovely staff."

"Hotel is in a beautiful area and location. It has a lovely pool which unfortunately we didn’t have time to use as we were spending time with family living locally. We were very kindly upgraded to a suite. It was very spacious and really nice but needs a little TLC in the bathroom with a jacuzzi and the curtain hooks need attention. "Lovely, quiet, peaceful location. Lovely place to stop staff very friendly and helpful and food was fantastic. The room very clean and tidy had a great view of the countryside and the sheep and horses in the field next door."

"Lovely quiet location with easy parking. Although obviously an old building, the communal areas are reasonably updated. The staff I thought were without exception very nice and service-conscious. Food was lovely too and good value. A bit of a general smell in the corridors, of foist just about covered up by cleaning products. It may bother some."
