Staff were friendly and accommodating, the beer was good and the full english veggie breakfast the ideal precursor to some stiff walking. "

"The location was lovely and peaceful. My room overlooked the garden where the many and varied birds and red squirrels came to feed. The room itself was exceptionally clean and nicely decorated, with a decent sized en suite bathroom. Very comfortable. "I stayed Monday to Friday as I was working in Whitehaven. Kitchen had everything I needed, bed was comfy, nice reclining sofasvand good wifi. House was well located, took a stroll to the castle in the evening and the co-op supermarket v. close, quite big and with a good selection."
