"City-centre location excellent though ear plugs essential on a Saturday night! TV remote control needs replacing as some essential buttons didn’t work. A mattress topper would have helped the comfort level. Lovely firm mattress and super-king bed but with a king duvet inside a super-king cover, which was annoying. "

"After booking a room with a shower over bath in error (my fault, partner visually impaired at the minute) staff were very helpfull in relocating us in a room with a walk in shower. Very pleased with the new room and breakfast next morning was excellent."

"It was our second stay at The Holiday Inn Hotel in Southend and it was excellent. Easy check in, all staff were friendly and excellent service. The room was a very good size and was spotlessly clean, lovely bathroom with fabulous smelling toiletries. Everything you would need was in the room including a safe. The breakfast was excellent so much choice. Easy parking at the hotel cost £10.00 a night. I highly recommend this hotel."

"Lovely quite stay. we had 3 nights here. went home. Then came back for another 3 nights. Room was nice Not sure if it's meant to be cleaned every day. But 1 day no one cleaned or changed the towels. But overall lovely! Nice pub meals too. "
