"Love this place! I was traveling with my aunt and uncle and the two bedroom apartment with a view of the water was wonderful. The apartments are in a really cute part of town and there are some fun restaurants within easy walking distance along with an ATM, a little grocery store, and a great bakery. Just note... the parking is VERY tight. If you have anything other than a compact, prepare for a very tight squeeze... especially if you are parked up against one of the support beams."

"Hotel very clean. Disappointed that I was unable to have dinner in the bar. It was closed for renovations and I found the function room uncomfortable and lacking in privacy during my dinnertime. I would have appreciated notice of the renovations prior to check-in time."

"There is a large public playground across the street from the hotel. Live music in the attached pub, but it also wasn’t so loud that it would be audible in the room. Leisure centre had a pool and a gym. The gym is small but well appointed. We had the breakfast included and it had a good selection of Irish breakfast options and cold options like cereals and pastries. It is entirely walkable from the bus station and to all of the options around Gort. It would make a good base from which to visit...

"Staff Reception and Management were all fantastic! Our stay was at a time just after the major storm but nothing was too much. I had flown in from Portugal but the stories I heard from local people who the hotel had looked after during this awful time was amazing. Well done The Ellison. "Although we were a little way from the centre of town, we loved our stay here. The top floor restaurant had a great menu for dinner, the breakfast was outstanding and even the downstairs bar was great. Overall a great place to stay"
