"the place is nice, quiet and it makes you feel very close to nature, downside is there is a LOT of bugs. Our room had tons of mosquitoes so be ready to have a smacking party. Also, the air conditioning unit on the first room they gave was not working and smelled like rotten eggs. Im glad they transferred us to another room. Customer service was good. Siem Reap tourism has not recovered from Covid and some of the larger luxury hotels, including Raffels, are closed and just trying to maintain their property until demand from large tour groups returns. City River Hotel is operating with a reduced staff and and reduced amenities - the rooftop swimming pool is open, the adjacent bar is not.
