"Amazing breakfast (pancakes with roasted bananas were incredible). Overall the rooms were in fair condition but nothing amazing. The fixtures and fittings are a bit dated and the bathroom could do with a refresh. The staff was helpful and polite. The location is very central, right next to a park. It’s an ok hotel but a bit overpriced."

"The property is a Georgian house, it is noticeably old but well-maintained and clean. It's location is perfect for public transport or walking into the city centre. It has good parking on the premises. We had a large room on the top floor with great views, quite a lot of steps so something to keep in mind for older or luggage-laden guests. This suited our needs perfectly but may not impress those who want a more "modern" or refurbished hotel."

"We had an overnight stay here as we were attending a friends birthday party nearby. A very pleasant pub in a quiet area. Good onsite parking . Staff were welcoming and helpful in assisting sourcing a local taxi service for us . Our room was spacious and comfortable .there was a very comprehensive info folder in the room.which had lots of info on local areas walks and local farm shops , one of which we headed to for brunch the next day and it was great.. Thoroughly recommend the Rose & Crown"

"We had a wonderful nights stay. The location is perfect for visiting Wells and backs onto the Cathedral green. The bed was very comfortable, a bit high maybe but such a good nights sleep. Can’t comment on the food as the restaurant was not open the night of our visit. "
