"The staff was friendly and helpful. I felt safe on the property. The drinks were good, and they were available at multiple places on the property. My room was spacious and cleaned daily. My room had a view of the ocean. To reach the ocean, I had to cross the street and walk through a different business. It was not inconvenient. The food was ok. There was 1 restaurant, an outside grill, and a deli-basically a coffee/sweets/ice cream shop (2 flavors coffee and chocolate with chocolate chip)-and cold premade sandwiches. The hours for the dining options were shared verbally at check-in but not consistently displayed. Even arriving as early as 4:45, when the grill closed at 5:30, I was not able to have jerk chicken. I tried 3 different days, at 3 different times and never got jerk chicken. I was always told it was almost closing time. Admittedly, at least 1 time I was there at nearly 5:30. I was able to get nuggets and fries at the grill. They were fine. I rated the area around the property considering my experience walking to the supermarket (the equivalent of 3 blocks) during the day and farther to go to Margaritaville at night. There were a lot of invitations offered for taxi rides, goods and companionship. I wouldn't feel comfortable doing any of these things walking alone. I paid $15 to get to the airport. I think it was a 5 minute drive. I didn't know there was a cost until I got there. It seemed like paying by card was an inconvenience for drivers. So, consider having cash."

"The stay was incredible!We felt so lucky to stay at Polkerris! Great location, convenience and hotel is so beautiful, clean and cosy. Traditional Jamaican breakfast every morning with fresh coffee and delicious juices. The view from the hotel is spectacular. Beautiful garden. Big pool. It was just perfect! Huge thanks to Peter and Elaine for making our stay so special!We felt like we were staying at their guest house. Very carrying and beautiful people!❤️ Highly recommend this property and we can’t wait to come back!"

"This property was disgusting. EXTREMELY dirty, outdated, no hot water and horrible customer service. The pool was not operable so there were literally no amenities there. This was not a resort. They do not even have ice. I would never recommend this slump. I cannot believe Expedia even allowed this hotel on their site. I rather sleep on a bench at the airport than here."

"We stayed first with just the two of us the brought out son. The property was right next to the Pork Pit were they were serving delicious food. Right across from the beach and Margaritaville was less than a 4 minute walk David was a gracious host and was available for any issues. It was great!"
