"This large property is home away from home, with a well stocked kitchen, a very full linen cupboard and bathrooms with all the lotions and potions you may need. Added to this a fully fenced section for the dog and log fire and this place was perfect. Highly recommended, for the location (a very short walk to the beach) and a wonderful host who was very responsive."

"The house is full of character and very comfy especially beds , certainly not new but it has all you need and a great deck overlooking the beach (rare thing in Waikanae!! ) House was a bit musty when we arrived but it aired out quickly - all the provisions and utensils are there and the heat pump worked very nicely to keep us warm . House is really close to the beach and the cafes - just a few mins walk - we had a wonderful stay !!"

"Great traditional bach dating to 1957. Everything we needed was there. No dishwasher but not really needed. My only gripe I kept banging my head on the low hanging name sign over the middle of the back door."

"Large 1970s house. Tidy and good location to beach, cafes and 4 square shop. Reasonably happy with stay but there some things that need addressing.1) Upstairs Queen bed- the mattress springs gone on the right side and the mattress feels like you are sleeping on a slope. Definitely needs replacing 2) Lack of outdoor chairs on the deck 3) Pool cue sticks in garage has lost their tips and need to be replaced 4) outside furniture (table and chairs could do with a good clean or be replaced 5) BBQ -...
