"Black Beach Suites was a beaut! It was the perfect location for a stay in Vik. Just a couple minutes from the center. We saw the Northern Lights from outside the suite and drove up the hill for a better view. FYI: The room got extremely hot at night so consider turning down the temperature before bed. "The Barn was a very nice pod-style hostel. We stayed in a 6 Bed Dorm. They are double beds with a curtain to separate. The bed is quite comfy, albeit one more pillow would’ve been nice. A shelf within the bed pod would’ve been handy to put items such as phone and other night time essentials. There were a decent amount of toilets, showers, and sinks. "We stayed at Hótel Kría for just one night - the first night we flew into Iceland. By the time we got there we were exhausted (took a red eye from Boston, plus the dark drive to Vik and site seeing), so honestly, it's a bit of a blur. I remember the room being fine (view of parking lot) and bed comfortable, and dinner was good. Nice cocktails. The showstopper really was breakfast.
