"The guesthouse was brilliant, the staff was very friendly and the breakfast in the morning was a big bonus. It’s essentially a converted old-school so it has a lot of history and charm. When we arrived, we were given a room that had a defective furnace, so the room was always heating. After speaking with the front desk, they instantly changed us rooms without hesitation. Super awesome, very friendly people would definitely recommend. "

"Stayed 2 nights here in a room with the private bathroom. It very well exceeded my expectations. Easy check in, kind staff, lovely bar. The locks/handles were confusing at first but I learned very fast! Location was great for me, I like being tucked away.. town is only about 7 min away. I was able to catch the northern lights here which was AMAZING. There’s plenty of parking but it can fill up quick at night even then I found a close spot so I have zero complaints. 10/10. "Firs they forgot to send us the code for the lock box. With the bad signal I had in that location it was very difficult to call them. After about 5 attempts they finally picked up the phone and they give me the information which they supposed to do at least 24 hours before our arrival. No apologies or anything like that, it sounded like this is normal and I've seen other gests having the same problem. If you like to stay in a wooden tent for one night is okay but don't pay the price of a normal...

"Quiet, comfortable stay on a farm that was just outside of Vik and close to Dyrholaey and Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach. There are 5 rooms with a shared kitchen, sitting area and 2 bathrooms. The bathrooms were modern and spacious, and even though they were 'shared,' there was always at least one open whenever needed. The other guests were quiet and considerate, so we would definitely stay here again."

"No one was there when we arrived but we soon found out that they were over booked and we we put up in a nearby hotel that was of a much poorer quality for the same price. I have read other reviews saying that when they arrived they found out that the hotel was overbooked too so this might be a policy of theirs. Nice enough place otherwise but I would not recommend."

"This was a guesthouse where we were greeted by the owner as we drove up. She showed us our room, which was clean and comfortable. She also made wonderful pancakes for breakfast for everyone, it felt like a family meal. I would recommend to anyone wanting something other than the sterile hotel room experience. "
