"The property is located atop the hill in the favelas of Vidigal. The locals are welcoming and they have everything you require up there for a steep walk or motorbike taxi. They also provide a bus if you have luggage. A way of life in different perspective. Bar, restaurant, DJ with a view! Watching the sun rise over Rio from bed give it a try"

"Our host was amazing. He was super friendly and attentive and just a really good person. The house was large overlooking the ocean. Private parking right up to the first floor which is entirely yours. Tv worked in all rooms. Towels provided and coffee. He even had fresh fruit and juice and water in the fridge. I felt safe. Not only all this the view was wonderful short drive to the beach. I would stay again and again!!!!"

"This is an interesting place, definitely a love hotel. The views are impressive and the location is good. Only one of the staff spoke a little English but he was very helpful. There were a lot of bugs (little flies ants and a couple spiders) in the room but that did not bug me too much. My biggest issue is they charged me an extra 25% of my reservation at checkout, even though I paid in full on Hotels.com. I am not sure I would return here. "
