"Decent place to stay if you're on a budget. It's a pretty basic hotel. The staff was friendly and offered several recommendations for places to visit while we were there. The hotel is relatively quiet considering that it's off a busy road. The parking can be challenging since it's street parking with no parking lot. "I might say you get what you pay for. Normally I stay at Nomada Beach hostel, but since I was on a shoestring I went the budget route with Casa Santurce. It was a low key place but the bunk rooms are cramped, and their is no kitchen. For a few dollars more at Nomada you get a pool, a nice kitchen, much better showers, and many different sitting areas. I'd suggest that Casa Santurce make this more cooking friendly, and also provide a few more places to sit."

"The staff was great. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The place is not very well maintained. Mosquitoes ripped me to shreds in the bathroom and bedroom. There were roaches in the bathroom at night. The bed was not very comfortable. Although the staff was great, I would not stay here again. "

"Booked this as soon as we landed. I expected a little more for the price. The accommodation wasn’t bad, but very basic and needed a little extra cleaning in the bathroom. They let us check in early, however, not at all flexible with checkout. I requested an extra 30minutes and was denied that, even as an Expedia VIP. "The staff was so friendly and amazing. Our washer broke and they did our laundry for us the communication was perfect and staying in old San Juan was absolutely perfect. Everything was so walkable and accessible I can’t imagine staying somewhere else it was right in the middle of everything and the street of the rentals doesn’t have cars on it so it was so peaceful and quiet. Would highly recommend. "

"It's a great location for getting around Old San Juan. There are lots of restaurants and other entertainment. Also, the great landmarks downtown are close by and within walking distance. The hotel was very clean and neat. There are no onsite attendants but the owners own the market at the corner and were very helpful."
