" The room was very modern with good lighting, which could be controlled from the bed. The bathroom had a very large shower, dual sinks, and a heated floor. The decor is dark wood and textured cloth paneling and marble bathrooms. The soundproofing seemed good. The staff was polite, well trained and the service was very prompt. The location is good; a few blocks from the oceanfront and directly on the main street that runs through downtown Vancouver. My only quibble is that the TV was not internet enabled."

"This was my first stay at the EXchange Hotel. What this hotel doesn't have is a Large, elegant foyer. The entrance is more like what one would expect for a residence in New York. There is a door man waiting to greet you and answer any questions that you may have. The room is clean and well designed. Temperature in room is comfortable and if there is a heater or a/c it is very quiet. Bathroom is clean and spacious. We were on the 6th floor and you could hear road noise but nothing that would keep you from a good nights rest. We only had breakfast at the Hydra and felt is was very good. The best thing going for this hotel is the people, very helpful with a most pleasant disposition. Well done."
