"Stayed at Hotel Marielle for three nights for a Spring snowboarding trip with my teenage son. Location is excellent right on the snow front with ski in ski put directly to the main lifts in Val Thorens. Reception, restaurant and bar staff were friendly professional, knowledgable and most importantly helpful and really made the stay a real pleasure. Room was spacious and clean and had a great view of the snow front. The terrace bar below does play music late afternoon till about 6 or 7 which adds to the buzz of the snow front location but if you want a quiet room better to ask for one at the back. Good selection of food options for breakfast and dinner (we did half board). Service gets a bit overwhelmed at peak pre ski school time 8.15 to 8.45am (our visit was in school holidays) with a few items running out on the buffet but they are quickly replaced if you ask. A second coffee machine might help for peak times! Decor is lovely - has a bit of a Parisian Boutique hotel feel to it. Huge spa with steam room and massive Sauna with a window onto the snow front. Although my son is a teenager now I thought the hotel was well set up for smaller children with lots staying, the ESF ski school straight out front and a decent games room. Val Thorens wa s great for Spring skiing lent to of snow relative to resorts further down the valley and the multitude of lifts meant no big queues. Would definitely stay here again. "

"Excellent stay and would recommend. Great ski in and ski out , easy short ski down to ski schools. Food was generally very good, especially starters and deserts. Breakfast had wide variety of options. Fresh bread and pastries. Fondue restaurant onsite was very good. Staff were all friendly. Pool, jets in the pool, steam and sauna was decent. Room size was normal for ski chalet hotel, kids bunk beds has seperate door for small room. Nice bar inside and lots of space . Popular deck outside with some apres music on some days right in the sun. Music was loud for rooms facing ski slope but music went off around 6:30pm. Boot room wasn’t too hot. Nice touch with water in the boot room "

"A truly ski in ski out experience right off Plein Sud chairlift. Val Thorens is breathtaking and the service is unmatched. Breakfast was included and was lovely every morning inside Casa Alta with a view of the slopes. Two turn down services per day and free ski locker with rentals and room reservation. My driver, Florian, was fantastic and was hired by the hotel to pick me up in Geneva, Switzerland. Great rooms and great value. Trip of a lifetime! "

"A great four-bedroomed apartment in central Val Thorens. Comfortable lounge and kitchen area, and great mountain views. Just a short walk to the slopes in the morning, and ski to the door at the end of the day. Helpful communication from the owner too, so overall, a great choice when staying in Val Thorens."

"We enjoyed our stay. As others noted, it’s a small and spartan apartment that benefits from a great location. It’s not really a third bedroom, unless for use by children. The ceiling on the top bunk almost makes it unusable. But the beds in the other two bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. For those up in the middle of the night, the bathroom downstairs — including a precarious, narrow set of stairs — might find it challenging. Otherwise, we enjoyed our time. "

"Overall great location if you plan on skiing. Access to slopes is meters from the ski locker. There was a slight issue with a smell from the dishwasher when we arrived however this issue was resolved after communication with the property manager. Overall great place to stay "

"Everything was lovely in the apartment with all just as it should be. As we walked in it was just as the photos had advertised. The owner/host was really helpful and friendly. The ski in ski out and the position on the slopes was brilliant. My only complaint was the long walk from the car drop off with luggage etc with only 4 lifts servicing loads of apartments. Trolleys were meant to be available but were few and far between . Having said that we would return another time. "
