"The cottage is in the perfect area to view the northern lights. It’s just close enough to the nearby town and just far enough to not get the light pollution. The outdoor hot tub for each individual cottage is perfect to sit in and watch the lights. They have the cutest ‘community’ dog that is very sweet and so well behaved. Just be aware if you are allergic to dogs! The bed seems to be a bit old and it was awkward to have just one side to get in and out through as the rest of the bed is up...

"This is super peaceful and yet close to so many things to see! The town is Selfoss is just a few minutes down the road and in the other direction, all the splendor of the south coast waterfalls await. The house is very clean and well outfitted for a comfortable stay. I plan on returning to this property."

"I have nothing negative to say about this property. They have thoughtfully equipped the house with everything you could possibly need. The hot tub is a bonus and we used it to watch for the Northern Lights every night. All communication before and after arrival was answered very quickly. "I loved this cottage and was so sad to leave! I have never stayed at such a comfortable and cozy place. We arrived late at night and it was such a breath of fresh air walking into the cottage. Everything was just perfect. The beds and bedding were so comfortable. We were close to the golden circle and south coast so a slow exploration of the area was possible. "

"We stayed four nights here in January 2025. Had a wonderful time. Photos are accurate, and kitchen is well stocked. It feels like staying at a friend’s cabin. We caught the northern lights two out of four nights. It’s a great base location to explore the Golden Circle sights. Vista I’m from the porch is spectacular. We had a great time there and would definitely go back. "

"This cottage was a great place to stay while exploring the golden circle. It is in a very quiet area, away from city lights for a better chance to see the northern lights. The natural hot tub was a great place to relax in the evenings and the unique glass bubble bedroom is just amazing! It’s set up well to keep you plenty warm at night."

"The room was not cleaned, old towels were hanging, there was no linen in one of the beds. We booked for 10 people, but there were actually 8 seats. The staff was arrogant, no one helped.The location was close to the beach, 10 minutes walk, but the house was somewhere behind the warehouse."

"Loved staying here. We only had one unplanned surprise. We may have missed this in the listing but the instructions ask you to take all your trash with you. We drove hours with our son holding a full bag of trash until we found a place to dispose of it. We actually named our bag since he travelled with us for so long. Other than our bag of trash, it was a nice stay."
