"We live in northern Belize about 35 miles south of Bacalar and wanted a nice quiet, low-key get away. Just for R & R. We cooked some things before we came and made other things while we were there, but also enjoyed the local fare. The pictures were accurate. "The pool is very far from the room. Sliding doors don’t close properly allowing mosquitos to come in. I don’t blame the staff. They are very friendly and tried to help however this property doesn’t look like anything advertised. The bed is made of cement and the mattress is hard. We can’t sit on the porch due to bats droppings and smells of bats. "
