"Idyllic setting! Very good food. Friendly staff. I had a budget room which was about adequate. TV was so small it couldn’t be watched from bed. There was a motor running intermittently during the night and that was more disturbing because of the otherwise rural silence perhaps with the chuckle of the tributary of the Dart outside my window. I had a single, ensuite room which was great as a solo traveller, not always this option at some hotels. Gary and James were very welcoming, cleanliness was excellent and a great breakfast. "Kind and lovely people, lovely chat and they really cared. Very much a spare room in the end of their house with a it’s own bathroom so very homely. Breakfast room was a breakfast room with lots of stuff and a cat (I loved the cat). It’s down a very rough and rocky track in the car. Basically it’s an authentic working farm with some lovely farmers who make a solid breakfast. I’d be back. If you are looking for a polished hotel experience this isn’t for you but for a real life nice people...

"The flat itself was very good. A great location, big and airy, a bit shabby chic but nice. The service from the local agent (PlumLocations) was terrible. We confirmed availability of, booked, and paid in advance for a late check-out but they unilaterally cancelled at short notice, without offering any mitigation such as somewhere to store our suitcases and hence leaving us nursing bulky suitcases for a couple of hours. Pretty shabby customer service."
