"The place is under new management who offered a warm welcome, a clean room, done up the place as best they could. The place still has a few issues from being taken over eg shower not draining well and a new mattress due but the new team are trying hard to make a go of it and are trying to make good."

"We had an absolute wonderful stay at The Briarfields. Julie Anne and Charlie were amazings hosts. Lots of home from home touches, breakfast was delicious. Although it is sited on a road due to triple glazng slept perfectly. 2 train stations walkable nearby which are walkable. Can definitely recommend."

"Contrary to some reviews i have read about this establishment, we were very impressed! The staff were really lovely and very helpful, friendly and efficient. The room was clean,well appointed and quiet. We ate there both evenings of our stay and i honestly couldn't fault our meals in any way. Simply delicious and plenty of it. Breakfast was also very good and massive! We will definately be staying here again and i thouroughly,wholeheartedly reccommend it to anyone. Well done Burrator inn."

"Parking was limited to 3 narrow spaces at the rear of the guesthouse but there is the option of residents parking in a nearby street (we were given a residents parking permit). We were in an en-suite room in the basement, with use of the fridge and microwave in the basement kitchen area which was useful. There were a couple of cobwebs in the corners of the room but the shower, toilet, sink and bed were spotless. Breakfast was great, with a varied menu. The dining room was clean and welcoming....

"I could not praise the staff here more, despite my room not being available till lunch that day, they were more than happy for me to come down earlier to pick up my room key and drop off my bags before a day at university. "My partner and I stayed for a long weekend. I arrived first to check in. Debs was there to greet me and dealt with a last minute request to upgrade my room amazingly. Check-in was quick with clear and easy instructions given. Room 3 was gorgeous! So spacious with plenty of storage for clothing and luggage. There was a handy fridge, table to eat at and a gorgeous balcony. I run warm so it was amazing to be able to open a door and windows. There's a huge TV with Sky channels and a sofa to watch...

"A warm welcome when I arrived. Despite being on the main road into Torquay, it was very quiet within the b&b promising a good nights rest. Breakfast was very good and set me up for the day. For an evening meal , there were a good selection of restaurants within 15 minutes walk."
