"A lovely house between Orosi and Paraiso, overlooking the Orosi Valley. Not far outside Paraiso--Waze took us right there. The house is beautiful and comfortable and very well appointed and supplied. The owner is only onsite part of the time, but is promptly available via WhatsApp. Her onsite assistant doesn't speak English, but we did fine with a little bit of Spanish and WhatsApp with the owner who speaks excellent English. We want to return to Casa Bartzis on a future trip--it's a winner!"

"The house is in a neighborhood about halfway up one of the mountain roads from the town of Orosi. Overall, it's a fantastic house very comfortable for our party of 4. Great place to enjoy a glass of wine on the porch and visit in the late afternoons. The kitchen was adequately equipped with coffee maker, microwave, range, fridge. "We stayed for two nights and got up early each day to look at the birds. The location is beautiful, the views over the surrounding hills are amazing, and you can watch the parrots fly along the valley. The house has large picture windows and you can see the lights of Orosi in the valley in the evening. The house is bright and colorfully decorated and the kitchen has electric kettle, coffee maker, microwave, stove etc. and pots and pans if you want to cook (we ate out at Paraiso, about 15 minutes...

"Wow, what an incredible slice of heaven. Feels like you’re a million miles away from civilization. Waking up to the sounds of the birds in the morning, dinner with Gregory (host) and sitting on the porch in the evening were highlights of the stay. It’s a commitment to get up and down the road and 4wd is essential. As such I’d recommend staying at least 2 nights w/o going down. Hosts offers horseback rides and guided hikes around the property. "Came to Turrialba for the Canyons- but fell in love with this place. The deck was incredible, great place for mornings- watching the Tucan, watching the clouds roll by all from a comfy chair. The hot tub was a rare novelty. I spent time in other cities in CR, but this place is incredible. Absolutely will be back!"
