From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. The ladies at the front desk were especially kind and welcoming – truly a breath of fresh air after a long day of travel. They had big smiles, friendly attitudes, and went out of their way to make me feel at home. Check-in was smooth, and they even gave me some great local recommendations for food and activities My room was spotless, quiet, and super cozy. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I appreciated the little touches like the extra pillows, nice toiletries, and soft towels. Housekeeping did a great job keeping everything clean and refreshed throughout my stay. The hotel offered everything I needed – a relaxing pool, a clean and well-equipped fitness center, and a great breakfast in the morning. The dining area was tidy and well-stocked, with fresh coffee and a variety of options to choose from Again, I can’t say enough about the staff. The front desk ladies really stood out – always ready to help, answer questions, and make sure I had everything I needed. "1.5 miles from the entry to Palo Duro CanyonPark entrance. Delightfully quiet. Comfortable, safe. Owners communicated with me promptly and completely. No confusion with which cabin it was, nor how to get in. Small, but good for 2 folks. Clean. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hideout! This cabin was a perfect spot for our family of 3 on our long weekend trip to Palo Duro Canyon! The extra amenities like bath bombs, makeup wipes, even fresh eggs in the fridge were an awesome cherry on top of this stay! The location was so convenient for getting into the state park and also so nice to have the Sad Monkey just up the road for a casual lunch or dinner! We’ll definitely be back here again!"

"Good area"

"We are on a 5 week camper van trip, and this was our only stop where we didn’t stay in our van. It was so nice to have space to move, a kitchen, washer dryer and fenced yard for the dogs. Super close to hike Palo Duro and we did a little shopping in town. Enjoyed a couple local restaurants too! The owner communicated well during unusual windstorms and aftereffects. "

"We absolutely loved staying at Rider’s Roost. We loved being surrounded by such beautiful animals and enjoyed the peacefulness of the property. Its proximity to Palo Duro Canyon made it so convenient. Andrea was such a gracious host and went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of. If you want a quiet getaway and love a rustic and western vibe you will absolutely love it. "
