"Perfect for place for us and priced reasonably. Owner was responsive and helpful, keyless check in made it easy, location was convenient, house was charming and pool table was an excellent addition. We live in a different state but have a daughter that has relocated to the area and we will try to use this home for all our future visits and stays in the area."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the lake. SML is truly my happy place. The house had a great view of the main channel and Bridgewater Marina. Oh, and the sunsets! Wow. We always love sharing the lake with our dogs who love to swim! Would rent again if there was a floating dock. The slope is steep and riprap challenging for the dogs to get in and out of the water. Checkin was a breeze. Kitchen is well equipped. Open shelves are cute. Suggest adding shelves to the pantry so we could put food...

"Some friends and I stayed at this beautiful home for a girls weekend and it was amazing! The house had everything we needed and was so close to everything! We spent our nights in the hot tub and making a fire and our days visiting the Alpaca farm, a local vineyard, downtown Roanoke, and a few other places. We definitely want to come back to experience the kayaks and SUP. So thankful for a great host. "

"The house is in a great location and was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. The house, yard and especially the dock need a lot of maintainence and repairs. The upper deck of the dock was closed due to needed maintenance which was not disclosed. We had a fire alarm go off which brought out several fire trucks an hour after we arrived. Apparently it was a glitch in the system that has happened before. "

"Great place close to downtown Roanoke and quick access to everything the star city has to offer! Very nice and clean place including the linens! Some places we have stayed have skimped there but now here! The parking can be a little tricky if you have a larger vehicle like we do but we made it work. My only suggestion would be to add a full length mirror in the bedroom for getting ready and a shelf of some sort over the toilet to set toiletries on as the bathroom sink is a pedestal...

"My two girlfriends and I wanted to do the Triple Crown as separate day hikes. This was the perfect place to stay--only 15-20 min from the trailheads. Roanoke had plenty to offer for after our hikes and Emily's house was very comfortable to stay and cook dinners at night. We would definitely stay here again for future hiking trips."

"This incredibly well stocked, well thought out, well appointed, gorgeous gem of a home was perfect for our small family Thanksgiving. Any kitchen item you might need - there are several to choose from, including the host bringing over a turkey roasting pan so I didn’t have to bring mine. The beds, super comfy with lovely linens included. The property very well taken care off with so many amenities! Could not recommend more/a real treasure in a picture perfect location."

"My family and I had a wonderful stay! We loved the sunrise out our window that filled the kitchen with so much Joy! The kids loved the huge playground across the quiet cul de sac street. "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Since our stay fell during the winter and the lake was frozen, I can't speak for the use of the outdoor spaces. However, there was plenty to do inside! The property has a game room which we took full advantage of. The home is well-equipped and very spacious. Loved the layout too. Very clean and a fairly quiet setting. We would definitely stay here again."
