"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the lake. SML is truly my happy place. The house had a great view of the main channel and Bridgewater Marina. Oh, and the sunsets! Wow. We always love sharing the lake with our dogs who love to swim! Would rent again if there was a floating dock. The slope is steep and riprap challenging for the dogs to get in and out of the water. Checkin was a breeze. Kitchen is well equipped. Open shelves are cute. Suggest adding shelves to the pantry so we could put food...

"The house is in a great location and was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. The house, yard and especially the dock need a lot of maintainence and repairs. The upper deck of the dock was closed due to needed maintenance which was not disclosed. We had a fire alarm go off which brought out several fire trucks an hour after we arrived. Apparently it was a glitch in the system that has happened before. "

"My two girlfriends and I wanted to do the Triple Crown as separate day hikes. This was the perfect place to stay--only 15-20 min from the trailheads. Roanoke had plenty to offer for after our hikes and Emily's house was very comfortable to stay and cook dinners at night. We would definitely stay here again for future hiking trips."

The owner of home is attentive to his Renters and has equipped the home with everything you may need.The location is convenient to Route 220 and you will have many choices for eating and shopping. "My family and I had a wonderful stay! We loved the sunrise out our window that filled the kitchen with so much Joy! The kids loved the huge playground across the quiet cul de sac street. "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Since our stay fell during the winter and the lake was frozen, I can't speak for the use of the outdoor spaces. However, there was plenty to do inside! The property has a game room which we took full advantage of. The home is well-equipped and very spacious. Loved the layout too. Very clean and a fairly quiet setting. We would definitely stay here again."

"Our family had never been to Smith Mountain Lake VA and chose to come last minute because our planned trip to the NC mountains was canceled due to the hurricane. This house was PERFECT for our multi generational family from age 2 to 81! The bedrooms and bathrooms are beautiful and so very comfortable. The kitchen was an amazing gathering space and very well stocked. Living areas are super comfortable for people of all ages. We rented a boat from the marina and played putt putt and had ice cream...
