"Absolutely beautiful home. Gas Fireplace inside and out was perfect. Grill was good! Could use some new cooking pans, but the place was absolutely wonderful. No cell service but had good internet so that wasn't a problem at all. We will definitely rent this in the future. Host was extremely responsive to any questions and provided sound answers and solutions. Thank you for a wonderful memory and weekend! "

"This is a pretty cabin in a very rural setting near the Watauga river. It has a lot of windows and we enjoyed watching the cows across the street, and we also saw baby lambs. The long mountain views are awesome - we saw them covered in snow!The inside of the cabin is nice and new; although minimally decorated. The beds were very comfortable; everyone enjoyed them.One interesting aspect of the cabin was the flies. It was strange seeing so many of them in the winter with temps in the teens. I...

"We were in Kingsport to visit relatives and needed a place to stay. This house was clean, comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet. We didn’t need to cook, so I can’t speak to that. The only negative I have to say is that the air freshener was too strong when we first got there. It made us wonder if it was going to smell bad when it wore off but it didn’t. The house didn’t need it. I’d definitely stay here again and just ask the host to hold the air freshener. "

Father in law wanted to visit some old friends from when he lived there and this home worked perfectly for us to bring him and mom down from Michigan to do so ! "A perfect getaway! We were in town for a wedding, and were so glad we chose this cottage over a hotel. The views of the water and the sun setting were the icing on the cake. It was clean, comfortable, plenty of dishes if you want to whip up a gourmet meal. I wish we had time to use the dock and campfire area, but will for sure next time we are out there. Plenty of wild life to see, just be careful driving at night! Kurt was very responsive and we will be back! K and J"
