"Highly recommend Vauxhall cottage, it is a wonderful homely place to stay with lots of extra touches to make you feel welcome. The location is excellent with all amenities at walking distance. The cottage was great for our dog too as the garden is fully enclosed. Host is very responsive and helpful! We would love to return."

"Overall this was a good stay, rooms were nice and clean and there was plenty of space for 10 adults to stay. However, both ovens failed to heat properly which made cooking a bit of a pain. Check in process was not great, only being able to arrive between 5-6, the owner did not respond to any prior messages. Despite this, the local area was stunning, and the house was fit for purpose and good value considering the price of other locations in the area for a group this size."

"Property was so cosy and clean. The views were to die for. Extremely remote snd lovely and quiet but not too far to be able to drive to certain places. Thankfully the owner of the property made our stay work after the booking agent hadnt informed her we were coming as she had no knowledge we were booked in."

"Lovely big house and setting for the family, just a couple of things which would have made it 5* could do with a few more chairs in the living room especially if you have 6 adults or teenagers with you. The floorboards upstairs were a little noisy. No electric kettle or toaster. Overall the house was clean and had most things we needed for our family holiday. "

"Danby Lodge was an ideal location for a 3 night stay with 12 family members aged 2 to 70!! The house has a variety of comfortable bedrooms and 3 main seating areas giving ample room for everyone to spread out. The kitchen and dining area were of ample size and well equipped. The garden is a delight as are the woodlands and the historic and fascinating Forest of Dean all around. With Crossbill and Firecrest in the garden it is a birders paradise!!The house team offered a warm welcome with helpful...

"Very clean and well equipped. Comfortable beds, very peaceful area. Toys for children, loads of books, close to Monmouth Brecon canal for walks or cycling. Lots to do in the area."

"Property was excellent, everything worked perfectly, quiet and peaceful, out in the country, but lots of places to visit near by. Only stayed a couple of nights, spent the day in Cardiff, went to The Big Pit on the way back. Communication and instructions spot on, definitely would go back "
