"The service and especially the food was of the highest class. The ryokan’s public pools are small but you are given a pass which gives you free access to public bathhouses in the town. The location is a bit away from the town centre but a free shuttle bus is provided."

"The hotel is in a beautiful location but if you want to go into town it’s a very long walk. Hotel offers shuttle service but limited schedule to return. Very few taxis available. The staff is very helpful to accommodate you but you must plan in advance. The onsen in the hotel is very nice with stunning ocean views."

They knock it out of the park with their food, drink, and tea selection. The private onsen is super nice and a relaxing break from the busy public baths. This is one of my favorite stays ever! "Nishimuraya Honkan was one of the most incredible hotels I've stayed at, a real highlight in our trip to Japan. The room was fantastic as were the hotel facilities (which include a great onsen) and the team too. The kaiseki dinners in the room were utterly incredible and the Japanese breakfast each day was a delight. We loved it."
