"Despite the chilly weather, we enjoyed our stay tremendously. Or perhaps BECAUSE of the chilly weather? While we did get out to explore (Blackwater Falls and Canaan Valley State Parks) during the sunny days, we slept in late each morning and returned in the afternoon to curl up by the fireplace with books and music. We cooked all of our meals in the well-stocked kitchen and dined together “at home.” The beds were very comfortable and made with high quality linens. Showering was even a treat! The collections on display kept us entertained throughout our stay. I’m sure we didn’t take in everything over the three days. At night we relaxed in the hot tub, under the stars. We look forward to visiting again during a different season so we can see more of the local area. "

"Location was perfect and place was clean with all you need. Spacious bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. Close to Blackwater Falls and Douglas Falls. Lots of cute shops and close to Davis for more art shops. Highly recommend this place!"

"Room was very spacious and clean. Fridge amd microwave in room, washer and dryer on site for small fee. Breakfast was typical for free continental bagels, muffins, cereal, biscuits and gravy etc. Staff was very friendly! There is a gas station directly across the street with a subway of you sont feel like driving into Davis. It is only a short drive into town and to Blackwater falls:)"

"The Fox Den was a perfect place for a relaxing stay while salvaging broken plans for another ski trip. Our original plans were washed out by rain Sunday, and the slopes closed for the rest of the week. We felt very much at home!"

"I loved the quiet during March when we stayed. The front office staff were amazing! The fireplace was awesome too! The only “issue” was the remote control wasn’t working right. I’ll definitely go back"

"Two couples for a few days in Davis and a great stay at a fantastic property! The space was perfect for the four of us. We cooked most meals in and the kitchen was well equipped. We also enjoyed sitting on the deck for cocktails and using the hot tub when the weather was cooler. The fireplace inside made for cozy movie watching nights. You can tell a lot of care has gone into this property and we appreciated staying there. Would highly recommend!!"
