"This is a Japanese hotel, in an area with a lot of Japanese and Korean restaurants and shops. The area is quite different to the old town - very few tourists but pretty nice. "Cozy hotel in a good central location. Rooms are small and internet and cable channels like CNN, BBC are sketchy or not available most of the time. Breakfast in the rooftop restaurant is decent. But the silver lining to everything is the front desk staff, who are exceptional and will go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. "Loved this hotel! Fully renovated boutique vibe. Very elegant, super helpful and kind staff. Location couldn’t be better. Very comfy bed and the room and balcony left us speechless! We had a balcony room , I highly recommend room 601 if you can get it. However we saw a classic/superior room as well and even those are very nice and better than most other hotels we’ve seen. Would definitely stay again!"

"The San Grand Hotel is located in a perfect location in the Old Quarter, close to dining, shopping, bars and tons of street food! The hotel is very welcoming and a quiet oasis after the busy streets of Hanoi. The staff are extremely helpful and a special shout-out to Ruby and her team for being so kind and helpful with everything from booking our HaLong Bay trip, airport taxi, visas and actually walking to show us the nearest atm machine:) The hotel has a fabulous buffet breakfast along with an afternoon tea all included in your room rate. The rooftop bar is a great place to unwind during happy hour to take in the beautiful view over the lake. We had a balcony room, which offered a great view while taking in the sights and sounds of the city. It was a beautiful room, but didn’t have a shower, only a bathtub. All other room types had a shower though:) We would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again! Thanks everyone!!"

"Super friendly staff who gave us a warm welcome with tea and hot towels. Even though we were way too early we could get into our room already which was great after a long flight. Also on the day of our departure they let us take a quick shower before we left for the night train."
