"We stayed as a family with our young daughter. The hotel is right on the waterfront of Lake Taupo which is ideal for walking along the shore and the views are excellent. Rooms were modern and clean. The hotel has a nice restaurant, if a little old fashioned, with a great view of the lake and the sunset. My daughter loved running down to the water and looking at the ducks. "We liked it because it was very near the lake. We disliked it because our bedroom was filthy. There was thick dust everywhere in our room. The back of the tv was disgusting. The air vent was filthy, the upturned lamp shade in the bedroom had whole families living in there. Even in the corridors there were swathes of dust. When we asked to move, the receptionist took us to another room this one the paint work was white and it was just as dirty, the receptionist didn't seemed bothered. She then...
