"This was a lovely unit with a great back garden where we could eat our take away dinner outside. The facility provided beach towels, a shovel (for Hot Water Beach), is convenient to the beach, and the bed and cushioned window seat were great. The chief complaint was there is no sink, other than the bathroom sink, in which to do dishes. A bathroom sink is not really a sanitary solution for dishes. We hope that the resort owners take the dishes used in any unit and run them through a dishwasher...

"Beautiful grounds, worth a stroll. Challenging driveway. My check engine light came on so I am losing a day at the mechanic. It is very steep, your car will probably be fine, mine is very old. Twin room has one window which is at the entrance of another room so choose between privacy and natural light. Had issues with mosquitos, light switch near only one bed which doesn't have a nightstand. Overall beautiful property with a challenging room (twin), the other rooms seem better."

"This property is well-positioned on the hill looking out over Huntly, and close to the old SH1. The rooms were clean and well maintained. My only critique is that reception isn’t well marked, and the deck off the back of our room (where we parked the car) had high steps and no railing, which would be an issue for anyone who has mobility issues. You can see the owners care for the history of the property and are working to respect it with the work they undertake to maintain it."

"Lovely new house with new carpet and floorings. Unfortunately the furniture wasn't new and the sofa was badly stained. The dishwasher was full of dirty dishes when we arrived and there were no dishwasher tablets. I contacted the management team but didn't get any response. The garage was full of various items so that we were unable to use it for the car. There were no instructions with regards to check out procedures. "Amazing how they were able to equip the train carriage with modern amenities while retaining the original charm. Bath was an add on unit with full fixtures but integrated with the train. Good AC and heating options and nice kitchenette. Check out the fabulous Hobbit and ferrry boat options."

"Very Modern and super comfortable beds! Well supplied to make your stay comfortable. Just out of Cambridge town centre so very peaceful. Only flag is the only TV and couch is in the second bedroom so if kids go to bed early you will be reading a good book or on devices."

"Our family thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful luxurious house overlooking the Waikato River. There was a safe swimming area in the river and a hot tub. The house was spacious, with all amenities inside and out bbq etc. inside outside stereo sounds , awesome tv viewing. All amenities provided and more just needed to turn up with bag clothes. Big enough for family or couple. Host with the mostest as well."

"Second time staying here and my husband and I got to use the exact same room we wanted at request which was great. The facilities are quite basic but it's value for money if you're mostly planning to go out to the nearby shops, restaurants, the casino or other places in Hamilton CBD and then want a lovely bed to sleep and relax in later. It could use a bit of a better cleaning service as we noticed a lot of built up dust behind the bedside tables but otherwise the sheets, bathroom & towels were all lovely & definitely sanitary. The decor of the VR is also quite beautiful with the high ceilings & color pallete. Thanks again for another wonderful stay."
