"The place is a rental property rather than a hotel. The host Carla was very friendly and responsive. The view was amazing. However, the property could use some serious work. There were holes on the wall, stains on the couch, splashes on the kitchen window shades, mold or stains on bathroom ceiling. The bathroom sink doesn’t work. "This house is spectactular! We stayed here with our kids and another family in early April 2025. We enjoyed seeing more than 30 scarlet macaws each morning flying and roosting in the trees right beside the house, with the sunrise and mountains in the background. This is one of the only areas in Costa Rica where scarlet macaws can be found in the wild. We also saw a toucan and many iguanas on the property.
