"Excellent stay, cute and relaxing! Close to the waterfall, friendly helpful staff, very clean rooms and easy parking. Amazing breakfast. After reading some reviews we were a little worried about the place, but it was not the case. Would highly recommend this place. If you are driving you can park right beside the hotel. If you are walking it would certainly be a trek, but the whole area is like that. "

"Beautiful spot but very loud at night with animals (rooster, loud dog that nobody tried to quiet for hours so assuming it’s a stray, birds) highly recommend ear plugs. Great stay, comfortable and beautiful spot highly recommend!"

"Bahia Rica Was an oasis in Paquera. We stayed for one night and did the bioluminescent tour and Isla Tortuga. The guest house was a rustic sanctuary where you feel one with nature. Lots of monkeys, and beautiful birdwatching. 253 steps down to a secluded beach where we had breakfast and we’re given various choices of cuisine. Isla Tortuga was awesome with Juan as a guide. We saw so many different types of animals, including spider, monkeys, incredible starfish, and sharks. If you have the...

"Good place to stay, great location, 3 minutes walk to the beach. Comunal kitchen which we cooked an amazing breakfast. Valentina and Andrea were a great host! Awesome Wi-Fi, I really recommend to stay there "

"The grounds were beautiful. Great community area (use of the kitchen too!) and pool. The owner was wonderful and very helpful. Right across from the ocean. If you go during the hottest months, be aware that the cabins have 3 mesh walls. We did not find this as a problem since there were 2 fans and quite comfortable in the evenings. Really, who spends too much time in their room on vacation anyway. That aside, the cabins are quite comfortable and have nice decks with hammocks."

"Pros: We loved the area. It was a couple min. from the beach & the beach is perfect for kids. The waves are great for boogie boarding. We enjoyed playing in the pool. Cons: The host responded to emails quickly, but the management company that oversaw the home weren't great. I was told to message the management company to set up a time for check in, but she never responded. After messaging the host, he was able to give me the info for check in. I had messaged the host double checking there...

"Amazing place with lots of room and a beautiful beach. Would recommend. Just a few communication issues around checking in and internet instructions. If you have whatsapp text them in advance and it should be smoother with the language barrier."

"The Villa is in a great location, close to the Ferry, Montezuma, Fish Market, beach, restaurant, golf course. The Pool is a great hangout. The Villa itself could use a little TLC."

Beautiful stay at Esencia!

"We had a wonderful stay at Esencia! The staff were so friendly and helpful. The grounds and pool were beautiful, well kept and clean. The rooms are set back from the main road so it was very quiet and we enjoyed listening to and seeing birds and monkeys from our balcony! Great location as well-directly across the street from the main surf break and next door to an excellent restaurant, Somos."

"Best resort stay of my life! The staff are wonderful people, that’s are patient and very attentive. The spa was devine and they even accommodated my pregnancy with a prenatal message. The vegan options for food are plentiful and all the vegan dishes we had were heavenly. The beach is quiet, clean, and private. We stayed in the beach front bungalow, and woke up to a view of the ocean every day which was very special. The other guests are friendly and respectful. The yoga classes were lovely and the studio space is insanely gorgeous with an ocean view and a cool breeze. This a little piece of paradise. Can’t wait to return!"
