"The lady who checked us in was so lovely. We had a warm welcome and the room was cosy and lovely and warm. The bed was so comfortable and we had everything we needed. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and the staff were very attentive. The dog was very welcome and he really enjoyed the stay too. I would highly recommend and we will be back soon."

"Lovely large room! With a jacuzzi bath, just a shame the jets didn’t work. We were staying to scatter friends ashes so didn’t spend much time in the room. Bed was comfortable and large, room was clean and tidy. Plus we had a wonderful sea view! "

"Fabulous! A truly relaxing home from home, with friendly and professional staff. We appreciated the quiet of our room ( we didn’t hear other guests), it's draftproofed sash window with view over the seashore, along with a comfortable bed and sufficient space in the room to be at ease. We really enjoyed the warm, cosy and relaxed atmosphere downstairs , the character of the place and tasteful interiors, and last, but not least, the delightful christmas tree in the dining area! And both breakfast...

"This was a very cheap stay in a great destination. The hotel was excellent value for money and we had a fabulous view. It was very quiet so had a good sleep. However, it is tired in places and would benefit from a makeover. Wouldn't take a lot of work but would be beneficial in my view. Just needs more attention to detail. Staff very friendly and helpful. "Generally a good experience, but with reservations. A hotel of character, much nicer than bland city tower blocks, but ready for overall refurbishment. Very un-green: no double glazing anywhere I saw. Room cleaning skimpy - glass shelf over sink always left unwiped, tea provisions not topped up adequately, bath not wiped round.
