"We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were nice and clean, and the bar area was enjoyable. Restaurant had great food. Get the Mozambique shrimp! Great views of Table Mountain from our room. Not much immediately next to the hotel but a short walk to the V&A Wharf and there is a water taxi directly in back to take you there. Also UBER came quickly."

"The property is old! Needs new furniture. Staff is nice and polite, especially the restaurants. The food was excellent, although choice is limited. The travel desk is money hungry. They want to charge R280 for the same adapter for around R50 in the U.S. And most hotels don’t demand that you buy the adapter, either. They charge a trip for $10.0 US that Uber charged around $7.00 US. In addition, one needs a reservation in advance."

"Pretty much standard HIE facility. Excellent service and a very good room with excellent WIFI and cable service. The only complaint was a very slight cigarette smell and shower stall sliding door was in need of repair. Breakfast was the usual standard fare for HIE. "Hotel was very central, the market was right next door, view from room. Bathroom very small, but hotel was good overall. A fridge would have been nice.. Breakfast excellent but DON'T have dinner in the hotel restaurant. Very little choice and what we had was awful. Tasteless and cold. The chef could not have cared less when we complained.The staff were helpful and friendly and parking outside, taken care of."

"We stayed there for a week in one room with 2 adults and 2 kids. Very comfortable room. We had breakfast included and the buffet was endless. Very classy feel throughout the hotel. Short walk to the harbourfront but they also offered hourly shuttles. Location was very convenient for all our tours and just walking around the town. We didn't use the pool - I can comment that it wasn't huge but it seemed adequate. I would definitely stay there again! "
