"The hosts were excellent - very welcoming and went the extra mile for our kids when they asked to pat the dog or for a hot chocolate at breakfast time. The five-o-clock wine time was a lovely chance to chat with other guests from around the world. Very convenient location. Only downside is that it's an older building so the noise from Christchurch's boy racers can be irritating at night. A minor problem. We would definitely stay again."

Two Fat Possums nearby does wonderful takeout Pizza but very popular on weekend for dine in. Bakery in same shopping centre is superb."

"This is just a normal family house let out in rooms. It is not a guest house or hotel. One room has en suite the orhers share a bathroom. Shared kichen etc. Owner lives elsewhere and tried to move us from the en suite room we had booked. We stayed one night then moved elsewhere."

"The Hotel is close to the bus hub but on a Sunday evening, there's nothing going on around except for a few relatively empty restaurants. Wouldn't want to arrive at night. It's worse since the lobby is closed after 4:00 PM weekends. If arriving during the day, the location is convenient but I liked the location in Kilmore much better. The room is very nice and well equipped. "
