"It's a really interesting property they have a hostel and they have a separate set of rooms that are made out of shipping containers but have been modified to be hotel rooms. Each one has its own air conditioning units and key that you can lock the door with. You can enter the property at any time with your key fob but they are also available to open the door if you ring the bill you can walk to the train station from there but I would not suggest going at night. "Poor experience given the price paid which was $30 per night for a dormitory. The breakfast buffet is minimal and dissolved quickly by people who literally thrust it into their bags without any oversight, and from thereon it isn't replenished correctly for all the other guests.The guy responsible for making the breakfast was super rude too. The entire place isn't effectively cleaned either which is sadly the reason why I have to give 1 star. Even with the few negatives expressed, I was itching...

"It's in a very ugly neighborhood, shops close at 6, the neareast supermarket that remains open until 9 is 10 block away in this very ugly neighborhood. Hostel's staff is very kind but I'm not sure if it's a good option in a dangerous city like Rio. I would look for another place. "

"Hostel muito bom, quarto com apenas 5 pessoas, amplos espaços de convivência, ótima cozinha e banheiros, flexibilidade nos horarios, bons colchões e travesseiro. Ar condicionado novo que poderia ser usado o dia todo, raro no Rio. Deixa a desejar em não ter tomada nas camas, apenas uma em meu quarto. Não ter locker, apenas armário que servem duas pessoas. "I stayed from February 22nd to March 1st, and let me tell you, it was an incredible experience! The location is simply amazing, and the area is buzzing with energy. If you’re a party animal who loves being close to the action, Lapa is the perfect place for you. The hotel staff is absolutely fantastic - they’re friendly, helpful, and go the extra mile to make sure you have a great time. The rooms are spotless, and the cleaning ladies are incredibly friendly. I had an amazing time here, and there were no issues at all. Oh, and our flight was at night, so they were so kind to let us shower at the spa shower before our flight. It was a lovely touch! "
