"Solitude and sun with all the necessities. Absolutely loved this place. The grounds were fantastic, enjoyed the pool daily, and opted to stay in the pool house because of the outdoor shower. I wish i could have stayed here longer. Felt secluded enough but the beach and restaurants either a short walk or quick drive away. If i had to give anything negative and this is a stretch the water could have been hotter for the showers. "

"The home was beautiful. The pool overlooked the mountains and was stunning. It was close to town. The only downside is that I wish it were more walkable. Just a note, the bedrooms had AC but the main living space did not. It wasn't uncomfortable because of the fans. It was a lovely place to stay."

"We met family (12 people) for a week of adventure in Costa Rica. Alex was a wonderful host and arranged all transportation, excursions and chef prepared meals. The house suited our needs perfectly with large common areas to accommodate all of us. The bedrooms provided private space for each couple/family unit. Small grocery and cafe just a short walk away. "From initial reservation to pre-trip activity planning, to check-in and throughout our entire stay, Casa Calma was an outstanding experience all around. We opted for the private chef for all of our dinners and this turned out to be a great move. The chef offered an expansive and fresh menu—and the flexibility to change plans when we caught a mahi mahi. The house is very clean, secure and a great place to watch wildlife in the jungle. Concierge service is a huge value. Will definitely come back!"

"Our group of 8 stayed for 3 nights and the property had everything we needed and our concierge, Maria was very responsive and thorough. The home is centrally located and close to many restaurants and the supermarket. The rooms were clean and kitchen was supplied with the necessities. The place could use a few more pieces of furniture in the living/gathering area as there were not enough seats for our group to sit inside together, but we spent most of our time outside, so wasn’t too bad but we...
