"This house reminded me of the houses that used to be common on HB. I love the older style from my youth so if you're looking for modern/new, this isn't it. Everything was good and clean. Bright and cheerful. I'll just add a few notes for suggestions. The ceilings were in disrepair in places with buckling of plywood. The king room mattress was very hard, almost like sleeping on wood. The front door threshold needs to be replaced as my husband cut his toe because it's not nailed down properly and...

"We had a wonderful long weekend stay at Holden Beach at Wine Down. My children and I and my mom thoroughly enjoyed the property, well situated and in close proximity to a few restaurants and a general store. With the beach just a few steps away from the back door and a beautiful swim spa to enjoy at night, we couldn’t ask for more. The owners were immediately responsive when we had to adjust our dates last-minute. We’ll be back!"
