"- Photos and reality are an exact match. Every detail is ready to make you feel at home. Decor, functional kitchen, great shower. - Hot water, heating, bbq and a fire pit. Beautiful.- Surroundings are lovely. A creek with salmon just in front of the cabin. - Host is very responsible and lovely. - The cabin is pet friendly. Thank you Natalie for that! We enjoyed our Christmas!!!! Internet is funny, comes and goes, I would recommend downloading some movies before going!Would def come back! "

"Nancy and Gregory are great hosts. They care about your experience and communicate wonderfully. The Hobbit House is a perfect launch pad from which to explore Gabriola. It's warm and comfy, with all the essential amenities. We stayed here last year, and had a great experience. This time was, if anything, better. Warm thanks, Nancy and Gregory!"

"When traveling, which I do frequently, I look for 3 things when renting a home: 1) Comfortable and functional living space; 2) Nice surrounding area; 3) Good communication with owner. This listing checked off all 3 and then some. The home is just as advertised and offers an exceptional living area. The owner has taken the extra effort to make this rental a memorable experience. It is truly a gem and I would definitely rent this beautiful home again."

"We absolutely loved this cabin. The way it was decorated made it homey and the gas fireplace made it warm and welcoming. Beds were comfortable. The cabin was stocked with all the cooking gear and other supplies that we needed. But our favorite thing was the view. From the deck in the warmth of the day or from the large window across from the sofa when it was a little chilly outside there were spectacular views of water, mountains, sunsets and wildlife - deer, seals and sea lions, and lots of...

"Everything was great, but the only downfall was the pressure of the kitchen faucet and the shower. We cooked almost every meal during our stay, so we had to do quite a bit of dishes and when the water pressure wasn't thr greatest, it took us some time to finish. The temperature of the shower was either too cold or too hot. However, we still enjoyed our stay every much and already recommeded this place to a few of our friends! <3"

"Lovely, cozy cabin near the middle of the island. Easy check in, with all that anyone would need. Owners very responsive when I had a few questions. Came in Summer, but would also work as a Winter getaway. Central so able to get to the various beaches and hikes within minutes via vehicle. Highly recommend Bowen Island Pub and Tippy’s for places to eat. Great stay! Thx"

"Our family of 5 stayed at this property. It was centrally located, with close access to the beaches. A vehicle will be needed, but the beaches are within a few minutes’ drive. The home is clean and well stocked. The property manager was excellent and responsive throughout our stay. We would highly recommend this place to others."

The locals of the island were so sweet and helpful as well. The island has many beautiful places to explore including walks and hikes. So glad we went on the “off season” as we were able to do our exploring with little or no crowds. Worth all the extra ferry rides as be able to travel off the beaten trail."
