"Great experience. Cabin is as shown, very comfortable, easy access. 10 min to Shepherdstown, lots of great restaurants and shops there. Our dates ended up being over the severe cold/snow in January 2025, so we didn't do much hiking or anything on the river, but it was a lovely environment, very peaceful and cozy. Owners were super responsive when needed and very easy to work with. Would definitely go back in nicer weather! "

"The cabin was perfect for a few days of writing and reflecting! Everything was very clean and it was easy communicating with the owner. The house is not "secluded" as there are neighboring houses on two sides and if I hadn't brought an ax/saw to cut my own dry wood enjoying a fire wouldn't have been possible. But overall a lovely stay and I look forward to going again!"

"My husband and I along with our 2 small dogs had a wonderful stay at this lovely mountain retreat. The cabin was clean and comfortable and had everything that we needed to cook breakfast and an easy dinner each evening. The property was beautiful with lots of tall old growth trees that were beautiful with the fall colors and even though it was in a community you felt like you were in a secluded mountain retreat because most of the homes were obsured by the trees; and it is on a dead end road...

"We took a long weekend away to visit with some friends of ours who live in Boston. The house was perfect in both size and coziness! We loved the hot tub (even in frigid temps!) and the fireplace. The kitchen was well-appointed and the fresh local coffee beans were such a nice touch!! Will definitely make it a point to stay with Mountain Mama Cabins in the future!"

"We booked this property/area for its proximity to Dulles/Reagan Intl airports and Maryland where 2 of our 7 gals reside. The view is as incredible as depicted on this site and the area is quiet and relaxing. We all slept well and enjoyed cooking meals together in the well-equipped kitchen.
