"On arrival at the Pera Palace tired & flustered from the overnight train from Sofia, I went and left my glasses in the taxi. After a friendly greeting by the reception staff, Salih immediately took ownership of the issue. He got the hotels CCTV checked and through the police tracked down the taxi driver. The driver was by then off duty so Salih arranged for another driver to collect my glasses and take them to the hotel - now that's what I call excellent customer service! The hotel itself was beautiful and all the staff so friendly and helpful. Okay, it's not cheap (although the restaurant was very reasonable), but for a special occasion it's worth treating yourself."

"The rooms are seriously sound proof and perfect for one (or two petite people with limited luggage). The decor was tasteful and the space was very clean! As a solo female, I found the neighborhood safe.There are two grocery stores less than a 2 minute walk from the hotel. It is very centrally connected --easy to take the tram, metro, ferry, or bus from there. Mr Murad, the guest relations specialist, was very friendly and kind. He offered me complimentary tea, coffee, and breakfast! I recommend this place!"
