"This was a beautiful property. The staff was beyond amazing and so accommodating. My fiancée and I wanted to use the hotel to take our engagement photos. We spoke with management to sure it was ok and they allowed us to do so. They were so pleasant about it and some of the staff actually stepped in to help that day of the shoot. Aside from the shoot, they were just great people with such good hearts and wonderful culture. I loved it there! I'll be back."

"Difficult to find due to very small sign but very nice and large inside. Nice people with nice art and design inside. Negative the bed in my room was very soft and not good for me."

"We liked the place. Room was great etc. The elevator is funky, requiring patrons to fully close cage door when exiting. If not done properly, others can't use. Otherwise, the place was great."

"From the moment we walked in, this place was fantastic! We were promptly greeted and we were being shown to our rooms within a few minutes. Our room (Camille) was great! We thoroughly enjoyed the windows and balconies and people watching the street below. The room was spacious and the bed was comfy. Dinner upstairs was wonderful...although the stairs were steep (but the views were lovely). The food was inventive and delicious and the service was top notch. Highly recommend. We also had food and drinks at the Secret Garden and that was also quite nice. I expected the included breakfast to be buffet style but was pleasantly surprised that it was a beautiful made to order breakfast with delicious coffee. Shuttle to the airport was quick and easy. Would definitely stay here again when in Stone Town."

"Relatively easy to find hotel, walking distance from ferry and other places of historical significance such as the Slave market. Very clean room, exquisite furniture and decorations. Air con and wifi worked very well. Delightful and pleasant staff, engaging and gave tips on areas to visit. Delicious breakfast, great choice. Will definitely visit again."
